Brandon Learning Centre 2nd Anniversary: Speaking of Success
Established in 2006, the Brandon Learning Centre has grown into a centre with more than 200 students in 2 years’ time. Today, we do not just offer classes for individual learners but also schools including Victoria Shanghai Academy and St. Francis’ Canossian and corporations including Reuters.
Our success is a real tribute to group efforts. Our teachers, students and parents all share a common goal. Thank you very much to parents who have provided invaluable ideas for us. Special thanks to the English Speaking Board, schools and organisations that have been so supportive of us. Every compliment is a great motivation for us.
We are looking forward to our planned expansion in Kowloon and hope to see confident faces in our classes.

July
July has been an exciting month! Our Summer Workshops have been full. We have seen a return of some old favourites such as the Roald Dahl workshops and have also been trying some new ideas. Debating and public speaking courses were particular fun and Kate and Sanni have been exploring the fabulous world of Dr Seuss.
Our Director, Jessica adjudicated at the first HK Speech Festival last month and was very impressed by the quality of the entrants. Organised by Mrs Elsie Tu GBS and Mrs Cerina Leung, the Festival culminated in a fabulous award presentation at the HK Baptist University. Speech Festivals can be a very positive experience for children if they are properly prepared. If you are thinking of entering your child in the HKSMA festival, please let us know and we can start practicing!
Good luck to our students as they leave us for their new schools. We hope Jonas enjoys Harrow, Beatrice - Wycombe Abbey, Yiu Hei and Justin - Winchester, Max - United World College, Trenton - Sedbergh. We look forward to hearing your stories at Christmas.

Congratulations! We got another 100% pass in the English Speaking Board assessment! It is a real tribute to the efforts of our teachers, parents, and above all all our students. The presentations and readings were terrific. Standing up in front of a class is not easy but all our students have shown YOU CAN DO IT!
