What is the difference between A levels and IB ?
Which qualifications do top universities prefer?
Which curriculum is more suitable for your child?

Many schools in the UK are now offering the IB as an alternative to A-Levels or Pre-U: Stonyhurst College is one of them . Stonyhurst College is a Catholic coeducational school for students aged 13-18 years old offering A Levels, IB Diploma and also the new IB Career related programme.

In2017 , over 70% of students achieved A*-B grades in A-levels and achieved 45% of all grades in A*-A in GCSE. Past students have gone on to study at a range of prestigious UK universities, including members of the Russell Group, such as Durham, University College, London and Bristol, as well as many well-regarding institutions across Europe, the US and Canada.

Mr John Browne and Mrs Deborah Kirkby, the Headmaster and Director of IB and Admissions at Stonyhurst will be speaking at a seminar at Brandon on Thursday, 18th October. The team will share their rich experience and views on the differences between the A-level and IB curriculum, providing a unique insight in order to choose the right path .
